Campaign: Parker Solar Probe 27th Perihelion

March 10 - 13, 2026

PSP’s Perihelion 27 will be occurring on March 11, 2026, at about 18:17 UT. The perihelion will be occurring with the spacecraft in near radial alignment with Earth on the Earth-facing solar hemisphere. The spacecraft projected footpoints will crest the Eastern limb only hours before, at 03:00 - 04:00 UT on 3/11 at a heliocentric distance of 14 Rs. Moving fast across the solar disk, they will cross the Western limb on 3/13 at 23 Rs and remain within 10 deg from the limb for the next couple of days during the outbound phase. Footpoint daily predictions will be issued daily from Tuesday, March 10 to Friday, March 13.
