Campaign: Parker Solar Probe 20th Perihelion

June 28 – July 2, 2024

Parker Solar Probe's 20th solar encounter occurred on June 30th, 2024 at 11.4 Rs. The spacecraft had its inbound phase on the solar far side, but connected to the East limb and progressed on disk by end of day UT 6/30, shortly after closest approach. It then traveled across disk, as it headed outbound, connecting near disk center around July 3rd. The Parker footpoint prediction team issued source predictions shortly before they came on disk, on Friday June 28, with follow ups discussing the progression on the disk on Monday July 1 and Tuesday July 2.
