Parker Solar Probe's 23rd perihelion, the second to occur at its record breaking closest approach of 9.86 Rs, is around 11pm UTC on March 22, 2025. Parker's magnetic footpoints are expected to appear on the East limb of the solar disk just prior to perihelion around noon UTC on March 22nd, and rapidly traverse the disk to the West limb and beyond from March 22-24th. Footpoint predictions will therefore be issued daily from Friday March 21st through Tuesday March 25th and, as usual, will include updates on the likelihood of flare and CME activity from the earthward solar hemisphere based on the CCMC flare and CME Scoreboards.
Daily predictions of projected PSP footpoints will appear here starting March 21, 2025.
